- It was clear that despite the challenge having arisen from a disagreement between Zoey and the younger girls, Zoey's goal wasn't just to see them proven wrong. Instead, her plan was to have both sides get fairly equal points, and to get everyone equally drunk. And it worked quite well. She also started pouring shots for herself, and she gave more than a few to Alexis as well. In a short amount of time everyone was having enormous amounts of fun, no matter how uneven the quiz was. It became just a good excuse to drink with friends.
- The liquor wasn't too strong, and no one got badly drunk. But at the same time everyone definitely felt the effects of the alcohol. Mandy and Catalina were almost constantly giggling and sharing giddy smiles. Alexis became more relaxed and carefree than she normally allowed herself to be, and she started pouring her own shots instead of relying on Zoey to encourage her participation in the drinking. The more Zoey drank the more devious her smirk became, and the burning light in her eyes forewarned that she was crafting even more mischievous schemes. Simon just let himself enjoy the high spirits of the group, not caring that they had completely abandoned their roleplaying game.
- Everyone was at a good amount of tipsy and merry when Mandy requested a change in rules. She and Catalina had just accidently incorrectly answered one of Zoey's easy questions, mistakenly saying Australia instead of Austria. They shared their penalty shot and then Mandy interrupted Alexis as she prepared the next set of questions.
